JOHN WOODEN’S SEVEN-POINT CREED
John Wooden's Seven Point Creed, given to him by his father Joshua upon his graduation from grammar school:
#1 — To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, though canst not be false to any man.
#2 — Make each day your masterpiece. Live each day as it should be lived. Never leave until tomorrow what can be done today.
#3 — Help others. A perfect life can be lived in helping others.
#4 — Drink deeply from good books. The Bible is best
#5 — Don't take friendship for granted. Study friendship and make it a fine art.
#6 — Build a shelter against a rainy day.
#7 — Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.
